Follow these steps to remove the Display Panel Assembly/Top Cover on the OMEN by HP 15 Laptop PC:
- Remove the base enclosure, battery, wireless module, solid state drive, right trunk, right support bracket, right fan, left trunk, left support bracket, left fan, IO board, and system board.
- Remove the wireless antenna and display panel cables from the routing channel on the top cover.
- Remove the two, five-millimeter P1 Phillips head screws that secure the left display panel hinge to the top cover.
- Remove the two, five-millimeter P1 Phillips head screws that secure the right display panel hinge to the top cover.
- Open the display panel hinges.
- Lift the top cover off of the display panel assembly and remove.
Follow these steps to replace the Display Panel Assembly/Top Cover on the OMEN by HP 15 Laptop PC:
- Note: When installing a new top cover, remove the old top cover and install on the new top cover.
- Place the top cover into position on the display panel assembly.
- Close the display panel hinges.
- Replace the two, five-millimeter P1 Phillips head screws that secure the right display panel hinge to the top cover.
- Replace the two, five-millimeter P1 Phillips head screws that secure the left display panel hinge to the top cover.
- Route the display panel and wireless antenna cables through the routing channel on the top cover.
